Reading for the SAT is helpful for kids whose reading scores have plateaued, AP literature students, and others who want to improve their reading comprehension, or who desire deeper roots in the language.
 
Together we explore passages from difficult texts using genres that commonly appear on the SAT, and works that are included in upper-level literature classes.
 
Goals here include understanding the nuances of the text and identifying elements that might be easily ignored due to language issues or lack of understanding. Students will gain skills that will boost other academic work as well.
